Emma's Background

Personal Profile

Providing professional counselling support to empower individuals into experiencing emotional wellbeing is something Emma is very passionate about. In her earlier life she experienced immense challenge with anxiety and self worth and feeling that she didn't fit in this world. When seeking help she found that treatments did not bring results. She thus, began her own research on how to heal herself and through engaging in education, work and life experiences harnessed the skills to be able to support people in the community into confidence and resilience. In her research, Emma discovered that relief and change from emotional issues is achievable and by using a unique approach of a combination of techniques she is able to support individuals in reaching their desired outcomes.

Emma considers diet, sleep hygiene, exercise, relationships, beliefs, cosmology, childhood experiences, genetics, life choices, connection to the natural world and perspective when embarking on the healing process. She works to engage individuals using their interests to bring about results. Being able to call on a variety of tools; including talking therapy, imagination, psychodrama, CBT, creative exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques and somatic therapy allows individuals to choose a path that suits them and has been proven to bring desired results. Emma works together with clients so they are able to empower themselves and build their own clarity, strength, courage, safety, confidence, relief, connection and self love in a way that is meaningful to them.

Community Work

Certificate in Community Services. Working in different community sectors has given Emma an understanding of how life circumstances impacts life experiences and she has found a compassion and non-judgement for all of circumstances people find themselves in. In 2007 after working in the corporate world she began a job in a dementia specific aged care facility and realised she loved working in community. Her community experiences took her to Tanzania working in a school, then working with carers and people with all disabilities in all age groups for 8 years and then more recently she has begun her own business in supporting individuals with life navigation.

Meditation & Mindfulness

Emma has practiced meditation techniques from around the world for almost 30 years and through that experience has discovered that sitting still in meditation is not always the right answer, Emma has learned how to bring relaxation through movement and sound as well as stillness and silence.
